About Us


SSGIF…raising shining stars


Shining Stars Global Impact Foundation formerly Shining Stars Initiative International is a nonprofit and non-gender-biased organisation. It is an educational platform to reach out and impart the younger generation. The initiative is birthed out of the burden about moral decadence and character defects that has become the norm in them. It is primarily focused on mentoring and capacity development for the teenagers and youth. It is set out to address pertinent issues and peculiar challenges facing them.

Through our mentoring process, we stand to bridge the gap between the experienced and less experienced, the expert and a novice, an achiever and a starter, more knowledgeable and less knowledgeable. A child, teenager and youth today are leader tomorrow. When they are properly mentored and exposed to the process early enough, they grow into responsible and accountable adults.


At SSGIF, we inculcate positive values into our mentees. They are encouraged to imbibe right attitude that helps them in their perspectives to life. We take into cognizance how the economic state of the nation and the world is driving parents from homes. The pressure of catering for the families has consequently turned some parents and guardians into “strangers” or “visitors” in their homes. They are not readily available to counsel or advise their children or wards.They are not always there to offer them emotional support especially in the instances when they urgently need them.

This is another gap we are ready to fill. We have a trustworthy and competent team of professionals who are willing and equipped to impart knowledge and train our mentees. Any parent or guardian who can trust us and encourage their wards, for any teenager and youth willing to go through SSII mentoring, we can assure you by God’s grace; that the process will worth the while.

Our target audience includes teenagers, young men and women, secondary school students needing guidance and direction on subject and course selection, secondary school leavers who are yet to gain admission into tertiary institutions, undergraduate and graduate students, post graduate students, early career and upcoming researchers

SSII Mentoring Groups


  • SSII Diamond : are undergraduates from different educational institutions that are going through our mentoring program.
  • SSII Ruby : are students who are done with secondary or high school education but yet to be admitted into any college or tertiary institution.
  • SSII Sapphire : are secondary school students.


Mentorship Structure (Organogram)


  • Student Ambassadors: They are teenage mentees in training. They are secondary/high school students and secondary school leavers who are yet to be admitted into any tertiary institution and are participating in SSII mentoring.
  • Student Mentors: They are youth and teenage mentees in training. They are undergraduates in different tertiary institutions who have already identified with SSII vision and have joined the initiative. They are directly trained by Graduate mentors and have access to further training by our Principal mentors.
  • Graduate Mentors: They are basically graduates and postgraduate students. They are also professionals. They are constantly trained and well equipped to impart knowledge and train our student mentors and ambassadors.
  • Principal Mentors: These are veterans in their fields of endeavour. Some of our principal mentors also volunteer as resource personnel during SSII summit, workshops and conferences. They inspire, mentor and serve as role models for the other three levels of SSII mentoring cadre.
