Dr. Oluwaseyitanfunmi Osunade
Dr. Oluwaseyitanfunmi Osunade was born in Ibadan to Right Reverend Professor Matthew Ademoyegun Adewole and Dr. (Mrs) Christiana Bolatipe Osunade of Tonkere, Osun State.
His secondary education was at Moremi High School, Ile-Ife where he was the Punctuality Prefect and Honours Roll Member for obtaining more than five A's at the O’level West African School Certificate Examinations. Dr. Osunade graduated with B.Sc. Second Class Upper Division in Computer Engineering, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 1995. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Computer Science at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 2000. His doctoral degree was obtained in 2007 at the University of Ibadan (UI). He also has an M.B.A.(Akure) and PGD in Research Commercialization and Innovation from George Brown College, Canada.
Dr Osunade has designed and implemented several computer networks within and outside the University. His first network design was a 10-computer local area network for Computer Science Department, UI. He now designs optic fibre networks and IPv6 networks for Institutions and Organizations. He has two patents. Oluwaseyitanfunmi jointly holds a patent for Radio Frequency Identification Smart Graduation Certification System.
Dr. Osunade is an Associate Professor (Reader). He served as the Sub-Dean (Undergraduate) of the Faculty of Science (2011-2013) during which he coordinated the hosting of an International Conference and one National Workshop. He served as the acting Head, Department of Computer Science at various times in year 2011 and 2013. Dr. Osunade was appointed Assistant Director, Management Information Systems in June 2007. He was the former Director, Information Technology and Media Services (ITeMS) at University of Ibadan. During his tenure, ITeMS was able to collaborate and worked with SocketWorks, Cardz, Fobanks Consults, ipNX and others.
Oluwaseyitanfunmi Osunade holds several Industry Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Project Management Professional (PMP) and ITIL v3. He is a member of professional associations such as Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Internet Society (ISOC), Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria) (CPN). He is the current chairman of Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Oyo State.
Seyi Osunade is a researcher, teacher, engineer, manager, leader and information technology professional. He is happily married and blessed with children.
