Dr. Oguntunde Toyin hailed from Igbaja in the Ifelodun Local Government of Kwara State. He had his primary education at the Baptist Day School, Igbaja (1972 -1978), secondary school education at Baptist Grammar School, Igbaja (1979 - 1983), Nigerian Certificate in Education at the Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin (1986 - 1989) and University Education at the University of Ibadan (1992 - 1997). He had his Master’s degree at Computer Science Department, University of Ibadan (2004 - 2007) and his Ph.D. in University of Ibadan (2019).

She is in her final year at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology with her BNSC degree in view. She is currently working with Babcock University Teaching Hospital.

Aside of having worked at several other places, he had held the position of a Network Administrator in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) unit of the University of Ibadan, now renamed as ITEMs (2001 - 2008). He has been a lecturer at the Department of Computer Science, University of Ibadan since 2008 till date. He is a financial member of the International Society for Knowledge Organisation (ISKO West Africa), since 2012. He is a corporate member of Computer Professional Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN). He won the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation grants twice (2004 & 2005) to train on the Nigerian Universities Website Development with the WiderNet projects at the International Center, University of IOWA. IOWA City, United States of America.

He has a number of conference and Journal publications. His area of research interest is Collaborative and Machine Learning as well as Internet of Things (IoT). He is an adjunct lecturer to a number of other Universities. He is a teacher of the word; and a mentor to youths and young couples. He is happily married with children.
