When we hear the word ' Addiction ', what easily comes to mind is drug addiction. But Addiction is beyond that. There are different forms of Addictions that are now prevalent among our teenagers and youths; and they adversely affect their productivity and performance. Hence, it is imperative to urgently address this subject in order to help them grow into accountable and responsible adults we will be proud of in the future.

Omobo Samuel Oluwapamilerinayo (Undergraduate, University of Lagos)

I am a 200 level student of the University of Lagos. I came for this program through my mum. I was in the Summit last September. I decided to come for the programme again because I gained a lot from it last year. I learnt a lot about Cyber addiction by which most of us spend time on social media resulting in lower productivity. SSII has thus taught me how to be more productive with my time. I have also learnt to take risks, go the extra mile and release myself to be mentored. I recommend this program to young people because the values that they will be gotten is unquantifiable.
Umeh Precious Gift (Secondary School Leaver)
I am a student and currently seeking admission to the University. I heard about this program from a relative. Looking back, I must say I have gained a lot educationally and in terms of mentorship. One thing I have also learnt from this program is to be a girl of principles, to set my goals and to work towards them. I also learnt to be a risk taker, ready to go beyond my comfort zone. To teenagers and youths like me out there, I would encourage them to attend programs like this, where they'd get to develop themselves.

Adegorite Subomi (Secondary School Student)

I am a student. I heard of this program from my mum, she is a very good friend of Engr. (Mrs.) Omokehinde Deji-Akinpelu. What I have gained from this program is that you can be addicted to a thing without realising it. However, if you carry out more research on yourself, you will get to know the things you are addicted to. I also learnt that we should set goals and strive to achieve those goals without being lazy.
Olapegba Temiloluwa (Undergraduate, University of Ibadan)
I am a 200 level student of the University Of Ibadan. I knew about this program through my dad. It is a wonderful program through which I learnt a lot. For example I learnt that addiction goes beyond the tangible things we see, (drugs and substances). One can be addicted in other ways and to other things without realising it until one sits down to access himself/herself and at times, it is people around us that will tell us. I also learnt that we should not just verbalise our principles and goals, we should make sure that we actualise them. Young people who missed this program should take advantage of subsequent ones in the future.

Olakun Bamiloluwa (Secondary School Leaver)

I am a secondary school leaver and I heard of this program from my mother. I have always been interested in things like this. As a person who believes in personal ideologies, I saw the program as an opportunity to build up on such ideologies. I also realised that my participating in the program was a good thing as it has turned out to be one of the best programs I have attended in a long time. I learnt a lot from the "No risk, No reward" session. Why do I say this? I am the kind of person who is only confident in my comfort zone but now I can confidently operate outside this same comfort zone. It also changed my perception about some things, especially the way I feel about my personal ideologies. I would advise that teenagers and youths should be encouraged to attend more of this kind of programs. Such participation will erase the misconception they have about some youth programs.

I am a secondary school leaver. I learnt about Cyber addiction (Internet addiction) and how to overcome it. I learnt about different types of addiction which otherwise I would not have been aware of.
